Apple has named "Disney Animated" its iPad app of the year. The app, which brings the Walt Disney Animation Studio to life, tells the history of the of Disney animation through a special hands-on experience. The interactive images and animated clips explain Disney visual effects and contained a timeline of all 53 Disney animated films.
The $9.99 app joins a list of numerous 2013 Best apps from the Apple Store.
The app was also selected by Mashable as a Mashie Award finalist for Best Branded App. It was also awarded Best Digital Book in the FutureBook 2013 Innovation Awards.
