The 1930s were an exciting time for Walt Disney and his company.
In January of 1930 the Mickey Mouse cartoon firs appeared. In 1935, the first Mickey Mouse cartoon in color - "The Band Concert" - was released, the first featured length animated film - "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" - was released and in 1939, the company started its move to Burbank.

6. In 1935 Walt and Lillian get all dressed up. It is believed it is at an Academy Award event. Lillian is holding one of Walt's Oscars.
7. In June of 1935 Walt visited the London Zoo where he of course needs to see the penguins.
8. In this circa 1935 photo, Disney is is surrounded by a group of executives while seated at his desk in his office. Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse figures stand on the desk.
9. In 1938, Disney posed for this portrait at home in California with his daughters Diane (right) and Sharon.
